Speech/Language Therapy and Educational Services for Children with Visual Impairments

Hi, my name is Pam Stafford, and I have been a Speech Language Pathologist since 1988 and a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairment since 2014. I have experience working with all ages in hospitals, nursing homes, private practice, preschools, and public schools. My current focus is on working with children in the areas of speech, language, and fluency therapy, as well as, providing vision services for students who are blind, legally blind, or who have cortical visual impairment. I am located in the southwest Missouri area, and I would love to partner with you to help you with any communication or vision needs your child or student may have!

Insightful Possibilities is here to partner with families and children in the community who have needs in the areas of speech therapy, language therapy, and/or visual impairment/blindness. The following services are offered:

Speech and language evaluations.

Speech therapy to address articulation skills, phonological errors, treat childhood apraxia of speech, and fluency disorders (stuttering).

Language therapy to address developmental language impairments and assist with functional communication needs through Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC).

Functional Vision Assessments, Learning Media Assessments, and Assistive Technology Assessments for children who have visual impairment.

Vision services through school districts to help students who have vision impairments with assistive technology, braille learning, academic accommodations and modifications, address Extended Common Core (ECC) needs, and address needs of students with Cortical Visual Impairment.

Training for teachers and paraprofessionals regarding vision needs and use of equipment.

Parent coaching for communication or vision needs.

Consultative services.
